1982 solo exhibition at the Museum of Art Lucerne. In 1980 he took part in the survey exhibition of contemporary Italian art at the Kunsthalle Basel, the Museum Folkwang Essen and the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. The next year, 1970, Tatafiore took part in the Venice Biennale, then twice more, in 19. He subsequently exhibited repeatedly in this leading Italian avant-garde gallery at the time, with Joseph Beuys, Richard Long, Robert Rauschenberg and Andy Warhol, among others.
